The guy put aside all his
belongings and the next second he was shaking the little boy harshly. The
little kid was being screamed at that he was a thief and would
never be happy again. The man was so furious that as soon as he finished swearing, he pushed him away. Alas, while the kid was pushed, a car
came in contact at that very second with that very part of the road and the
little boy was chucked away. The guy
immediately ran for the kid, hoping he was not hurt much. He crouched and held
the wet child in his arms. He could feel the child’s forehead burning too. The
kid was hurt, and indeed, he was on the urge of fainting; he was fragile and
his head bled. The blood mixed with the water in his hair and thus the kid
looked drenched in red while the headlights of the car highlighted his face. Releasing
his phone, which strangely, had the torch on, from the right hand of the
unlucky kid, he saw his other hand. And what he found in the other hand made
him understand all the events that took place in the last fifteen minutes. Everything
made sense to him now; he gasped. The left hand of the child carried two
umbrellas. The man bent towards the face of the child and softly began,
“Umbrellas? “
“You were sneezing-...” and the child fainted before he could complete his sentence.
The man got it. He felt so guilty that he could not stop a few tears shedding from his eyes. He bit his lower lip and gave out a soundless cry. His friends reached hurriedly from the car to take the kid to hospital. Two guys picked up the child carefully and slid him into the car. The guilty creature, still bent on his knees, under the pouring sky, contributed in shedding some water. He cried. One of his friends came and put a dry hand on his drenched shoulder.
“What happened?” His friend asked hurriedly.
“The most bitter mistake.” He replied as he sniffed back another tear.
